GRANT FUNDING FROM MILES AND DAUGHTERS
On Thursday 6th June, Kath Hunt and Alison Turner were thrilled to attend Miles and Daughters Community Fund Presentation in Caversham. We were humbled to be amongst other very worthy causes awarded Community funding by Miles and Daughters.
Our Grant will contribute to the continued upgrade of our Pre School garden and we are able to roll out Phase II of the re-vamp to include more flower and vegetable growing planters, fruit trees, shrubs and plants such as rhubarb, compost and a long, long list of gardening resources to continue strengthening our outdoor and nature centred teaching as well as supporting and encouraging wildlife into the pre school garden.
In addition, we plan to install large planters to fill the “dead” space along the front of the classroom. This will serve to create useful planting space and green up the area.
We continue to have a strong ethos toward community and sustainabilty (both environmentally and financially) and this grant will go a long way to helping us achieve this. We are keen that the pre school garden can support parents and families with an interest in gardening so please do get in touch if you would like to help out.

BERKSHIRE BIRDS OF PREY
On 20th October 2023 Berkshire Birds of Prey paid an educational visit to Pre School to show the children different birds of prey. We learnt lots about owls and were even able to stroke and hold them. Click on the link below to find out more about BBOP.
